SHE IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so after all of the waiting MISS MEGAN OLIVIA BOZARD is finally here!!!!!!!!!!! I had been having pains and the normal pre-labor symptoms that a pregnant woman has since Monday but that can last one day to over a week. Well all day Tuesday I was hurting in my back (yay for back labor NOT) Those lovely pains would never regulate so I figured it was just Braxton Hicks and Megan would be induced as planned on February 16th.

As Tuesday went on those pains kept getting stronger. Around 8 they started to get closer together really quickly. I'm talking from like 10-20 minutes apart to 2-3 minutes apart by 9:45. So I called my doctors office and YAY my midwife is on call which made me extremely happy. She tells me to come on in so I call all of the family and let them know that we are going to the hospital and we will call if its the real things becuase I thought it was a false alarm. I mean I could still talk through the pain and walk around but it did make me wanta cry a little (boy later would be a different subject)

We get to the hospital and get checked in. Carrie my midwife comes in and checks me I had gone from 2 cm and 70 % effaced on Monday to 4 cm and 100% effaced Tuesday night at 11. WOW because I was 1 1/2 cm and 60 % effaced for like 3 weeks. Well after alot of pain in my back, crying, and screaming I was fully dialated and effaced by 4 am. I got an epidural around 1:30 am which is heaven in a shot hahaha. But, when it was time to push I didn't feel anything but some pressure.
I started pushing at 4:30 am and pushed until 6 and Megan would not budge. So Dr. Hunter came in and between her and Carrie with Megan not moving decided it would be better for Megan and me if I had a c-section. So Brian and I agreed and at 6:30 I was wheeled in to the OR to get her out. That is one of the wierdest feelings I will ever have in my life I promise!!!!!!!!!!! When they got to her it was very obvious that c-section was the way we had to go! She was turned the wrong way for delivery hince all of the back labor! Carrie said I could have pushed all day long and she never would have moved. By 6:55 Megan was out and showing how healthy her lungs are :) It is true what they say that is the most beautiful sound you will ever hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian went over while they did her 2 apgar tests which were 8 and 9. I got to see her for a second but I was kind of out of it at that point! Brian went with her to the nursery while they closed me back up.
Next thing I new I was in recovery (feel asleep while they were closing me back up) and Brian was there. I stayed there for an hour, got some more pain meds, and then was taken to postpartum.

Megan in my very biased and I don't care opinion :) Is beautiful!!!!!!!!! She is a great combination of me and Brian. She has alot of blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes! I would love for her hair color and eye color to stay that way, but they will probably change! She was born a big girl 8 pounds 4 ounces. And has her dads height already 20 inches. No wonder she was still up in my ribs :)

She is doing great! Eating pretty good, low bilirubin (jaundice), had her hearing test done last night and both ears are great, pku test done today which was good I'm guessing. Her pediatricians said she was great and would be discharged when I get discharged which I am hoping is tomorrow!!!!!

For all of the emails, calls, and everything else THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has meant and awful lot to me and Brian! Megan too! Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
