Happy Two Week Birthday :)

Lil Megan is two weeks old today!!! :) She is too adorable! Smiles alot! She is already picking up her head and looking around when she lays on her chest! Put her down on anything but your chest and she doesn't like it so much!

Monday she went back to her pediatrician. She is already past her birth weight at 8 pounds 7 ounces!!!! Still 20 inches.

She is a great baby so far! The only time she cries is when she is hungry or wants to be held! Thank goodness pampers has the indicator line when they are wet or we would never know! I still check her all of the time even with the indicator line!!!! She never cries about her diaper.

On a serious note not about Megan. My dad had an acute stroke last night. Everyone please pray for him!!!!!

Megan's First Week

So tomorrow our little girl will officially be one week old :) !!!!!!!!!!!!! Man I hope time doesn't fly by like this week has! The way this week has gone she will be and adult before we know it :(

Monday was her first doctors appointment. Since she has left the hospital she has already gained back 3 ounces :) No jaundice issues what so ever and heartbeat and everything is good!!! She goes back next Monday to make sure she is continuing on the same path.

Brian and I are slowly getting into the swing of things. I am getting use to the sleep deprevation hahaha although I will say that we all slept for a good long while this morning to the point that I lost track of time! I'm not sure what time we all fell asleep hahaha!!! I feel so bad because my sister-in-law and her family came to visit last night and I was so worn out!!! I started hurting from my surgery and came upstairs to take my medicine and try to feel better for a second next thing I knew Brian came up stairs and they had left. Yeah, I pretty much slept through their whole visit! Elizabeth, ya'll U am so sorry!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't realize how tired I was!!!

She has had tons of visitors since she entered the world!! It has been great getting to see everyone!!! We thank everyone who has come to visit and who has brought things for Megan!

SHE IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so after all of the waiting MISS MEGAN OLIVIA BOZARD is finally here!!!!!!!!!!! I had been having pains and the normal pre-labor symptoms that a pregnant woman has since Monday but that can last one day to over a week. Well all day Tuesday I was hurting in my back (yay for back labor NOT) Those lovely pains would never regulate so I figured it was just Braxton Hicks and Megan would be induced as planned on February 16th.

As Tuesday went on those pains kept getting stronger. Around 8 they started to get closer together really quickly. I'm talking from like 10-20 minutes apart to 2-3 minutes apart by 9:45. So I called my doctors office and YAY my midwife is on call which made me extremely happy. She tells me to come on in so I call all of the family and let them know that we are going to the hospital and we will call if its the real things becuase I thought it was a false alarm. I mean I could still talk through the pain and walk around but it did make me wanta cry a little (boy later would be a different subject)

We get to the hospital and get checked in. Carrie my midwife comes in and checks me I had gone from 2 cm and 70 % effaced on Monday to 4 cm and 100% effaced Tuesday night at 11. WOW because I was 1 1/2 cm and 60 % effaced for like 3 weeks. Well after alot of pain in my back, crying, and screaming I was fully dialated and effaced by 4 am. I got an epidural around 1:30 am which is heaven in a shot hahaha. But, when it was time to push I didn't feel anything but some pressure.
I started pushing at 4:30 am and pushed until 6 and Megan would not budge. So Dr. Hunter came in and between her and Carrie with Megan not moving decided it would be better for Megan and me if I had a c-section. So Brian and I agreed and at 6:30 I was wheeled in to the OR to get her out. That is one of the wierdest feelings I will ever have in my life I promise!!!!!!!!!!! When they got to her it was very obvious that c-section was the way we had to go! She was turned the wrong way for delivery hince all of the back labor! Carrie said I could have pushed all day long and she never would have moved. By 6:55 Megan was out and showing how healthy her lungs are :) It is true what they say that is the most beautiful sound you will ever hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian went over while they did her 2 apgar tests which were 8 and 9. I got to see her for a second but I was kind of out of it at that point! Brian went with her to the nursery while they closed me back up.
Next thing I new I was in recovery (feel asleep while they were closing me back up) and Brian was there. I stayed there for an hour, got some more pain meds, and then was taken to postpartum.

Megan in my very biased and I don't care opinion :) Is beautiful!!!!!!!!! She is a great combination of me and Brian. She has alot of blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes! I would love for her hair color and eye color to stay that way, but they will probably change! She was born a big girl 8 pounds 4 ounces. And has her dads height already 20 inches. No wonder she was still up in my ribs :)

She is doing great! Eating pretty good, low bilirubin (jaundice), had her hearing test done last night and both ears are great, pku test done today which was good I'm guessing. Her pediatricians said she was great and would be discharged when I get discharged which I am hoping is tomorrow!!!!!

For all of the emails, calls, and everything else THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has meant and awful lot to me and Brian! Megan too! Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the wait continues....

Well my due date was yesterday but little Miss Megan seems quite comfortable staying put. Some things are starting to progress a little but not enough to count :( Brian and I picked up a few more things for her room this weekend. It is complete enough for her to come home to but there are still a few things we need. We need a glider and ottoman, some pictures on her wall which my mom is cross-stitiching, and a shelf to put above her changing table. We found the shelf but need to paint it because we can't find a white one we like. So until she comes were are in a wait and see what happens mode. Hopefully she will come sooner than later. If she decides on the later we are gonna be induced on the 16th.

Week of Ups and Downs

Where do I start....I guess the best way to state it is what a week we have had. Last Tuesday I just knew I was going into labor! I was having steady contractions just not 5 minutes apart from 6 in the morning until about 11 and they just stopped! Talk about aggravating!!!! My sciatic (or however you spell it) hasn't gotten any better only worse ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! Went to the doctor that day and I was 1 1/2 centimeters dilated and 60% effaced.

Thursday, I started losing my plug. Called the doctor about it and they wanted to see me so here I go for my second appointment in one week. She didn't check to see if there was any change, but was acting like it could be soon that Megan would be here.

So, this weekend my sweet grandma, mom, and Janette (the lady that helps my grandma during the week) came and helped me get the house clean for Megan's arrival. Now while all of this is going on I started with a cough on Friday which got worse Saturday and my nose wanted to join the party. Saturday afternoon and night of course I get a fever. I'm a week away from my due date and she could be here at any point and I've got a cold! Well now not only am I coughing and having a runny nose my right ear is stopped up again. Just lovely! This is the same cold I had before Christmas and it took me like 2 weeks to get over it! Great!

Well Saturday I felt like she was trying to crawl out and was having contractions that morning and again they stopped! Since then I've mostly had braxton hicks contractions with a few actual contractions here and there. I started to freak out a little on Monday because Megan wasn't moving as much! Yesterday was my doctors appointment. I so wanted things to have changed, but I knew in the back of my mind it hadn't. Of course the back of my mind was right. Absolutely no change! Because I felt less movement they hooked me up to the monitor to check her. She was great moving like a champ, great heartbeat, and a few small contractions. So we are on the waiting game some more.

If she hasn't come yet we have another doctors appointment next Thursday. Then they are going to do a NST and Ultrasound along with my doctors appointment. They are gonna check her size, fluid level, and check me for changes. If Megan decides its just too comfortable in hotel mommy she will be evicted via induction on February 16th. Man 12 more days ahhhhhhhh I'm so ready to meet her now but I will just have to wait.

So this is my longest post to date hahaha. I will leave you with all of this. As soon as there is a change I will let you know :)
