WOW its been awhile!!!

Just realized it has been over a month since I have blogged about little Meg! She now has 6 teeth :) Just the two on the bottom and 4 on top! She has been walking around our den all of the time but its just holding on to while walking down the couch or the baby gates. She now says mama, dada, daddy, gaga, baba which I love to hear!!!

We had a great time with all 3 of our Thanksgivings! Megan had her baby food and some of our food which was fun to watch her face everytime she tried something!

We had our family Christmas pictures and Megan's 9 month pictures taken last weekend which turned out adorable!!!

We have been baby proofing the house and staying one step ahead of her but she is too quick haha. We had pillows between Brian's chair and the couch to keep her in the den and in the last week she has figured out that she can get her self in between the pillows and crawl through. She tries to get around the gates and under her exersaucer to get around the house! The tree is gated off from her which just means she climbs up on the gate to try to get to it! Very determined little girl!!!!

Megan has started to do alot of things lately and it is too cute! She has been army crawling for awhile and babaling alot! But, now she is slowly starting to crawl right and loving to pull up on things from pulling up in her crib to pulling up on the couch and anything else that she can! She will walk if you hold her hands and walk to move herself closer to the couch! Here are a few videos of watch she is doing! I am going to try to get some more and take some pics too!

First Virus :(

Megan has her first virus :( She has been having a runny nose since she started getting her second tooth, but yesterday she started running fever and today her runny nose got alot worse and she started coughing. Off to the doctor we went and they said to use little noses, keep her hydrated, and watch her. Also, motrin or tylenol for the fever. SO Motrin and little noses later she is army crawling on the floor and playing with her toys.



This weekend she got to spend time with her grandaddy who is stuck in the house due to his surgery for 10 more weeks while we all went to my cousins wedding! CONGRATS SARAH and STEVEN! The wedding and the reception was BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm really happy for them!! I loved Sarah's dress. Go check out their announcement in the T and D. http://www.thetandd.com/. Weeks-Carter :)



Sunday we went and had family pictures done which Megan wasn't feeling good but man she is a trooper and did great! The pictures turned out wonderful!



Megan is now army crawling around, trying to push up on her back legs, and pulling up to a sitting position! She is growing so much I wish there was a slow down button but alas I am enjoying every minute! Until next time.....

2 Teeth

Megan now has her 2nd bottom tooth! Still covers it up with her tounge when you try to look! She is so close to crawling too! She gets up on her right had and both knees but still has the left arm bent down on the ground! Its too adorable! She has been having a great time at daycare and is working on her crawling there too :) I just hope it doesnt get hit with the H1N1 virus! We have it in our school and our district. Needless to say lysol is now my best friend! We are taking Megan for her 6 month pictures Sunday so we will have new professional pics soon:) Until then night!

6 Months and a whole lot more :)

WARNING! This is going to be long!Okay we have been supper busy lately!



After my last post we spent a little more time at the beach where Megan began sitting up on her own :) Then Brian and I went to San Diego for a week! Brian had to work so I went with him. While there I toured San Diego including Old Town (the mission that was created by the Spanish), went to Sea World, saw Sunset Cliffs, ate some good food and some not so good food (at a new Mexican restaurant, and we went to Los Angeles! Going to LA was neat until we got about 30 minutes away and the traffic was awful!!!!!!!!!!! But getting the Hollywood Sign, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, and the theaters was GREAT!



While we were in California Megan went to the beach with her grandparents and the church! While she was there she was the life of the party! She also got her very first tooth! Her bottom right front tooth! She is just now getting her second tooth! Her bottom left. Its just barely cutting through the skin. Because of the teething she is getting her first cold :( I just hate seeing her not feel too good with her runny little nose and a little bit of a cough!

When we got back we went to Lexington to our nephew and niece's birthday party! Megan had a great time just chilling! They had a great 2nd and 1st birthday party at the water park, got some really great stuff, and really good cake!



Megan had her 6 month appointment last week! I can't believe its already been 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!! She is 17 pounds and in the 75th weight percentile and 26.75 inches and in the 90th height percentile! Man is she growing!!! She got her shots and the doctor said she looked great!!!! She doesn't have to go back until she is 9 months old!


Megan loves to play with her hair and anyone else's who happens to be holding her at the time! It is really cute to watch her, but boy does she have a grip!!!!



CRAWLING! She is oh so close to crawling! She is just a scooting after things to try to get them. She also gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth until she eventually falls forward! Its too cute to watch! Right now she is doing the army creep across the floor which is too cute!



DAYCARE :( Megan started daycare last week and I have been worried about how she would do! The first day we went in and put her in one of the exercisers. She started playing with one of the other little girls and it was like what parents, my parents are here?! Then when I went to pick her up she was in the swing and looking like you know I think I will just stay here for a little while longer! This is the way it has been I would say every day since then. We take her in and its like so long people. Go pick her up and its like oh yeah the rents guess I am suppose to go with them hahaha!

WORK! I started back last week which is very sad for me because I don' get to spend everyday all day with her but I do on the weekends! Also, work means money so I can get more stuff to take care of her!

Sorry!!!.....and a Great Vacation

So it has been well over a month since my last post! For that I am very sorry!!!! This has been a very busy summer! I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER STACY!!! Celebrating her 24th birthday TODAY! Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Noah who turned 2 on July 2nd and to Juliana who will be 1 in a few days!

Another reason for my delay in posting is that I cracked the computer screen on my laptop which thank goodness is covered by my warranty at Best Buy so it is getting fixed at the moment thank goodness!!!

Megan had her first summer vacation the week before the 4th and for the past two weeks :) Lucky girl!!! Unlukily (not sure if thats a word hehe) she has started teething! So though she was having fun she wasnt feeling her greatest! She loved playing in the ocean! Bouncing in it and playing in the sand! Just about everyday she feel asleep as soon as we got on the beach!

Recently she has started sitting up on her own, she loves to bounce all of the time!!, and she i getting frustrated because she can't crawl yet! She is trying to crawl she just can't get her whole body going at the same time! She grabs everything now which is too cute! She was trying to pic up and eat a flower that is actually a speaker on her exersaucer the other day! Boy does she have a temper though! If she can't get what she wants right when she wants it she screams bloody murder! There is just so many changes she has gone through that its hard to put them in a post when it has been so long!

Food! She has started solids :) So far she hated peas at first but came around to it! She has gone through the waiting periods for allergies with all of the vegetables and she did well! Now we have started fruits! She does not like peaches at all! Never warmed up to them the whole three days of eating them! She has pears and prunes left to go then we can mix and match and go forward! She also does not like plain rice cereal!

I hate that I don't have any pictures I can put up and that it took so long to post! Things will be better once I get my computer back! Oh yeah! Harry Potter tomorrow night!! So Megan gets to go visit Grandma and Grandaddy and Aunt Stacy!!!

Four Months TODAY!

My little girl is growing up so fast! She is already 4 months today! I can't believe it was four months ago already! She is doing so much now. Rolling all over the place. Loves to laugh. Wants to stand all of the time! We have slowly started rice cereal but she isnt too fond of it. Thanks to Elizabeth and Allen she now has an exersaucer and she LOVES it! We also got a highchair from them but she isn't quiet ready for it.

She has already become quiet the social light :) My mom and grandmomma took her to the churchs mother/daughter lunchen minus me :) She has been to my cousin Sarahs bridal shower. Also, to our cousin Kristens graduation! (Congratulations Kristen!!) And in just a few weeks she will be going on her first of many beach trips!

I am finally done with school and home with her which has been great! I am enjoying it so much that it is going to be so hard to go back! Here are two pictures for you the first is from Kristen's graduation and the second is from her first outside front yard outing :)

Busy Busy Busy

Were to begin! First, sorry I haven't posted in awhile! I have been soooo busy trying to get done with school! June 4th so close yet so far away!

Megan has been doing alot lately! She has now recognized her feet and started laughing which is adorable! On the other hand she is now wanting to have more attention which is not so adorable when you are sleepy or trying to grade papers! Two nights early this week she decided she did not like sleeping in her crib! Boy was that a challenge! So yesterday I put one of my t-shirts underneath her and her long sleeve sleeper on her for bed which worked last night lets hope it works tonight! She also loves to talk to you! It is so cute just to hear her "talk"! She is slowly starting to grasp or things but right now its more like we put it in her hand and she holds it. She is slowly starting to roll over which is too cute :)

We are going to the beach in July and her Grandma Nancy bought her some of the cutest outfits and two bathing suits this weekend! I can't wait for the beach trip to get her! It will be her first official vacation :)

4 years :)

Happy Anniversary to us :) I can't believe its been four years since Brian and I said I do! It doesn't seem like its been that long! Although we have really been together for 9 and 1/2 years! WOW!!!! Been together for almost a decade! I can safely say so far (knock on wood) everything has pretty much been perfect! I am looking forward to the many years ahead of us and all the love in it :)

Been Awhile...

Wow it's been awhile since I've posted a blog!! Sorry for that! We have been super busy! I've got 4 1/2 weeks of school left which is taking a lot of my time! My kids take the PASS test in two weeks! I hope they are ready for it!

One reason for my lack of posting is that I have been reading the Twilight Series by Stephanie Myers! I am in love with these books and now that I am done I don't know what to do with myself! I want to read more about Bella and Edward! (I love that name for a girl! and Alice!) Yeah that's right I read all four books in two weeks! I love to read just wish I could write something that everyone would love! That would be so neat! My husband was hating me the whole time because I was neglecting him and Megan a little but I could NOT put the books down! So now I am thinking about re-reading Harry Potter :)

We had Megan christened on April 26th. It was special for me because it took place in the church where I was christened as a baby and married to Brian. Alot of my family members were also christened and married in that church. It was a beautiful day and I am so glad we got to spend it with our families! That whole weekend and the week leading up to it I was with my family in Lone Star because Brian was in San Diego for work :( I missed him terribly but had a great time with my family! One reason I waited to post was because I was waiting to get the pictures of all of us from various family members (nobody used my camera) but I haven't gotten them yet.

We have a lot coming up too! Our 4 year anniversary is this Thursday and Mothers Day is this weekend. Then I have the end of school and will almost be time for Megan's 4 month check up. She will be 3 months in a week and a half. Its so hard to believe she is already 3 months! Man time flies!!!

My sweet great husband got me a new Iphone for our Anniversary and Mothers Day! :) So I have been playing with my new toy today and last night! We are trying to decide where to go for our Anniversary; Myrtle Beach or Savannah or wait until school is done and really go somewhere! Decisions, Decisions!

I know I have left out a bunch of stuff but this was the highlights :) Until next time....

Easter

Friday we traveled to my parents house so Brian could go hunting with my Dad and Brother :) Megan had kind of a rough night because of her shots but she did great considering! Saturday she was still a little fussy but nothing some tylenol couldn't help That night we went and had Sweatman's Bar-B-Que which was GREAT!!!

Sunday she woke up at 4:15 am. From that point on Mommy was up even though Megan got to nap during the day. We all got up and went to church! My Great Aunt finally got to meet Megan :) We then had lunch at my Dad's. We had some great food too!!! Next we went to Elloree and my Uncle finally got to meet Megan :) There aren't enough hours in the day because we didn't make it to Lexington to see Mrs. Nancy and Elizabeth and them :( They need to move closer this way!!!

Monday was my last day to be with Megan :( Yesterday I went back to work for the first time in 2 months! WOW! Yesterday was rough!!! My kids had lost their behavior training from the beginning of school! Needless to say they didn't not like me comming back and giving orders the way I do! So today I put them back in a seating chart setting, went back over the rules, and threatened the crap out of them!!! Needless to say today was still challenging but better! I hope tomorrow is even better! We will see! It is a definate though that I am ready or June 4th to get here!!!!

Doctor Appointment

Today Megan had her 2 month appointment and it went great! Dr. Rodgers said to keep doing what we have been doing because Megan is doing great! She is now 23 1/2 inches. She was 20 inches when she was born. Her height puts her in the 90th percentile. Seems she is gonna be tall like her Daddy! Thank goodness!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she continues to grow in height the way she has been! She now weights 11 pounds 12 ounces! She was 8 pounds 4 ounces when she was born. Her weight puts her in the 75th percentile. I was worried that she didn't weight enough for her age because all of the kids on the What to Expect February board that I follow are around 14 and 15 pounds. With the exception of a few! So I am very happy with her height and weight!!!!!!!

She also got her shots today :( I felt so bad for her!! She was already a little upset from having her hips checked and everything else she had checked. Plus she was hungry! She screamed but not as loud as she can when she got her 3 shots. Then she sucked down the oral vaccine quickly because she was hungry. She fussed for a little bit after that until she got her bottle then she was quiet happy!! Within eating two ounces and riding in the car she was out. This was around 11 o'clock it is now 2 and she is still sleeping!

She is starting to sleep through the night now! I am just ready for it to be consistant! hahaha Sometimes she sleeps from around 12pm after her feeding to around 3, sometimes 12-4 or 5, she has been known to go until 6 or 7. There have been a few rare times she feel asleep around 11, but most of the time 12-1. Its crazy! I guess I need to get her on a schedule! I have been letting her do what she wants with sleeping and eating. Her eating is the same way! All over the place! There are times she will eat 7 ounces, then sometimes 4, then sometimes only 2. I wish she would be consistent in her amounts because fixing too much I waste formula or fixing to little I am constantly getting up to fix more! Ahhhh!

This weekend is going to be Megans 1st over night visit to her Grandparents house for Easter :) I know they are excited to see Megan and watching my brother and sister with her is great! You would think she is their child and not mine hahaha :) I will report how her first visit goes! Also, I start back to work next Tuesday :( I keep telling myself its only for 8 weeks then I will be home for 3 months. I am glad she will be staying home with Brian or other family members during that time! She will be where she is comfortable and with people she knows! Also, not around other kids and their diseases until she is old enough to handle it! I will make it through the next 8 weeks some how :(

Happy Birthday To Me!!!!!!!!

Today is my BIRTHDAY :) I had a really good day! As I put in my last post our power went out last night. So no clocks this morning. Brian woke up with a bad pain in his hand and his head was bothering him so he took the day off. (Probably shouldn't have worked on my grandma's sprinkler system yesterday without taking sinus medicine and as for the hand oops I guess) :) My mother-in-law came down and we went shopping! I got some clothes for me, clothes for Megan :), and shoes. Then we went and got our toes done and I got my eyebrows waxed.

We have been going non stop lately. Saturday was a beautiful day. So we went to the Flowertown Festival in Summerville. It was extremely packed! We bought a smocked dress for Megan and a name plate for her room. I will have to take a picture of it and put it up its so cute. The woman paints beautiful things of all kinds of stuff animals, plants, bugs, etc... Her website is http://www.byrdislandart.com/. Sunday we went to Elloree and Lone Star to see my side of the family. We have so much going on in the past and comming up. I try to post when I can but it causes me to have novels to post lately. I will try to do better :)

Megan is getting so big and doing alot more now :) She loves cealing fans and lights!!! She can stare at them for hours! This week she has really noticed her arms, hands, and tongue! She flails her arms about all of the time. She knocks her bottle out of her mouth, loves to suck on her hands but does not like a pacifier, and is constantly licking her lips! She is just too cute. I love her to death!

Update

I know I need to write an update! I had full I intentions of doing one tonight! Well we have lost power! So I promise one is comming it will just have to wait until tomorrow :(

Anniversary

I'm a little late but Happy Anniversary to my parents (March 25th) 20 years!!

Megan and I had a great morning this morning playing together! She has really started smiling alot this week and I have been trying to catch it on camera. Today I hit the jackpot!

6 Weeks

Little Megan is a month and a half today which makes me happy and sad! Happy because she is growing! She is already smiling on her own really big cute smiles as of yesterday and today. She makes the cutest cooing noises too! I'm happy because soon she will be crawling! Sad because she is growing too fast! Sad because in 2 1/2 weeks I have to leave her and go to work for 8 weeks until the summer. I don't know how I am going to be able to do that :( Though its done everyday by mothers and fathers.

Yesterday I went to the doctor and got the all clear for everything. YAY I can start exercising again! Thank goodness because I feel huge! The doctor said I have recovered real well and my scar looks great.

I am so ready for the Spring weather to get through its yucky state! Its cold then hot then cold then hot and sometime both in the same day. And the rain. I am glad for it and hate it! Glad because we are getting water to the plants and grass! Rainy days are great sleep days except when you have a newborn hahaha! Hate it because we can't go outside and rain is kind of depressing!

Lately :)

Well we have had a lot going on around here and well continue this trend for about a month. Megan made her first church apperance yesterday at my family's church in Lone Star. I was so worried that she was going to wake up screaming in the middle of church but she didnt and was a perfect angel! She slept pretty much the entire time only stiring about a few times. Which I will say thank goodness! The reason for this is I made my first traveling mistake! We had extra clothes, a lot of diapers, burp clothes, and everything for her bottles. The one thing mom forgets! The bottle!!! Thats right we were 1 1/2 hours from home in the middle of the country with no bottle. So after church Brian and I had to run to the grocery store in St. Matthews to get a bottle and thank goodness they had one or we would have been in trouble! After church everyone wanted to meet Megan which was great and she did great! We also set up her christening for April 25th.

As I said we have alot going on comming up. This weekend Megan is getting her 1st professional pictures taken. Then my family is celebrating the spring birthdays. Brians, my dads, my grandmas, mine, and my brothers. April 3-5 is the Flowertown Festival in Summerville which we go to every year :) Then there is Easter. Then Megan's christening. WHEW!!! Also, Brian is going to start traveling again :(

We have taken some pictures around here of Megan because she is growing so fast. She is now around 22 1/2 inches and 10 pounds 8 ounces. She was born at 20 inches and 8 pounds 4 ounces. She has outgrown all of her newborn clothes and some of her 0-3 months clothes all ready :(

Belated Birthdays

I know I metioned the upcomming birthdays of my family in another post but I meant to post on their birthdays too. But, with a newborn you do things when you can.

HAPPY 28th BIRTHDAY BRIAN!!!! (March 2nd) I know really late. Not only on putting it on here but also getting him something. He just got the rest of his present this weekend! I promise I won't do this again!

HAPPY 55th BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!! (March 6th) Thank goodness I have until the family party to get his!!!! Which is only 2 weeks ahhhhhhh!

HAPPY ONE MONTH BIRTHDAY MEGAN!!!

My little girl is growing up too fast!!! She is already a month old :( It doesn't seem like its been a month already but it has. She has grown alot in the past four weeks. We don't have exact measurements but she is getting heavier and alot longer!! She can no longer wear her newborn outfits but can still wear her newborn onsies. So her little legs are becoming very long legs and her little tummy is staying her little tummy.

We are loving this weather! We have taken Megan to the Mall, to Lone Star to see my parents and some family friends, Wal-mart, to eat at Belle's House of Pizza (owned by the daughter of the family that owns the HofP in Orangeburg! We love to eat here!), Carrabbas, Outback, and walking around the neighborhood! Because it is warm and lovely outside I went back through the outfits my sister in law gave me that are too little for my niece Juliana. I pulled out some cute newborn dresses for her to wear :) I hope the cold of this weekend is only this weekend because we are all loving being outside!!!

I am wanting to get Megan's picture taken but she has baby acne and her skin is peeling real bad. So I am waiting on that to clear up before we do it. I hope the outfit she was brought home in will still fit. My grandma bought her this beautiful white dress that I really really want professional pictures of her in! I need to take some pictures of her myself which I will do this weekend.

3 Weeks :)

Little Megan is 3 weeks today!!! She already seems alot bigger than when she was born to me! She is starting to finally wear her 0-3 month clothes and the newborn clothes are getting really snug :) We really need to create a routine for her which I am not to good at!!! Sunday night she decided she wanted to stay awake until 4 in the morning!! That gave me great appreciation for single moms!!!!!!!!!!!! If it wasn't for Brian taking over at 4 am I think I may have gone nuts!!!! Today she has been awake from 10:30-2!!! Hopefully she will sleep most of the night!!!!!!!! After her last doctors appointment we are letting her eat when she wants instead of waking her up so that has thrown off what routine we did have with her!

I can not wait for it to get warm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so sick of this cold crappy weather! Its suppose to be in the 70's this weekend and through most of next week! YAY!!!!!!

Brians birthday was Monday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN!!! We love you!!!!! I made him a cake and we went out for his birthday! I haven't gotten him anything yet for two reasons. He can't decide what he wants and the weather has kept us in doors! We have alot of birthdays comming up! My dad's is Friday, brother in laws is on the 10th, cousins is at the end of the month, grandmas is April 1st, mine is April 6th, and my brothers is April 9th. Then our 4 year anniversary in May 7th :)

My dad is home and doing better!!! One of the arteries at the base of his head was partially blocked which causes him to be dizzy and have headaches. He spent a couple of days in the hospital due to his stroke. Had some physical therapy and came home with medicine! Thank God he is okaybecause it could have been so much worse! I talked to him night before last and he is still dizzy but alot better than he was! Thank you everyone for your prayers!!!!

Happy Two Week Birthday :)

Lil Megan is two weeks old today!!! :) She is too adorable! Smiles alot! She is already picking up her head and looking around when she lays on her chest! Put her down on anything but your chest and she doesn't like it so much!

Monday she went back to her pediatrician. She is already past her birth weight at 8 pounds 7 ounces!!!! Still 20 inches.

She is a great baby so far! The only time she cries is when she is hungry or wants to be held! Thank goodness pampers has the indicator line when they are wet or we would never know! I still check her all of the time even with the indicator line!!!! She never cries about her diaper.

On a serious note not about Megan. My dad had an acute stroke last night. Everyone please pray for him!!!!!
